Privacy Policy
The short version
This app calculates your estimated taxes entirely on your device. We don't operate a server, we don't have user accounts, and we don't collect, sell, or share your income information.
What stays on your device
The income, filing status, and state rate you enter, along with any estimates you choose to save, are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. We never transmit this data to us — we have no server to send it to.
Optional iCloud sync
If you turn on "Sync estimates with iCloud" in Settings, your saved estimates are stored in your personal iCloud account (via Apple's iCloud key-value storage) so they can appear on your other devices. This is off by default. Apple, not us, operates iCloud, and your data is subject to Apple's iCloud privacy practices. Turning the toggle off stops future syncing; it does not delete what's already in your iCloud account.
Subscriptions
Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We don't use a third-party subscription platform — no purchase or billing data is sent to us or to anyone else. Apple verifies your subscription status directly on your device.
What we don't do
No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporters that phone home with personal data, no accounts, no passwords, and no selling of data — there's no data of yours to sell.
Notifications
If you enable quarterly deadline reminders, iOS schedules local notifications on your device. This doesn't require sending your data anywhere.
Children
This app is intended for independent contractors and freelancers filing US taxes, not children, and isn't directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new version will ship with an app update.
